Sorry for the essay, but I'm so tired with this and frustrated that I've ended up ranting! RAM, it's always been 16GB, so again that's ultra confusing. On top of this, my shared video memory for some crazy reason is all the way up to 8GB!!! (Yes, if you're shocked by this, I was mesmerised, it's an insane amount - and totally useless hahahahaha) in Windows 7 it was an adequate 750mb, I haven't changed my

My skill set with PC's after 10 years of building them) have told me that the Iris Pro drivers aren't actually working on 10 yet, and are only valid for 7 and 8/8.1 And the 4th (yes, 4 phone calls/chats to the tech team, really starting to question They managed to get as far as updating to the anniversary edition, as he was adamant that was the reason for it not working - we got disconnected (obviously) due to restarting. I've even spent time on the phone with Microsoft technical support, initially told to go to intel, then told to rollback, re-upgrade and clean install, then try - this didn't work, and in turn lost my access to Windows 7.

I talked to intel before I got the driver working - they asked me to try the vendor driver for my motherboard, which I had and it wasn't working, they haven't responded since I've encountered the wrong memory issue. This is becoming increasinglyįrustrating as I have now crammed around 60 hours into this issue over the last 4 days. I do now have an active driver for Iris Pro 6200 graphics, however - my dedicated video memory is stuck on 128mb, if I try to go back up to 1024mb with the driver now properly installed, it does not work - BSOD appears again. Not a great start!įinally I managed to get the driver installed by turning down the allocated intel graphics memory setting in my BIOS - I had to tune down to 512mb in order for the driver to run, "Success!" I thought, "We have Iris Pro graphics again!!" Oh I was wrong, hahahaha. My ethernet cable so I was not connected to the internet when I deleted it, and could then start the PC and hit an active desktop.

Initially my GPU drivers would not run at all, constantly BSOD with the message "Page Fault in Nonpaged Area" and also listed the driver igdkmd64.sysĪfter a couple of BSOD each time it would give the troubleshoot options, and allow me to boot back into safe mode - it was pretty obvious from the get go that it was the GPU driver due to following windows update to watch it happen, as well as unplugging

My Intel i5-5675c processor is fantastic in Windows 7 and also with OSX booting from 2 separate HDDs inside my desktop PC, however I updated a few nights ago to Windows 10 and have hit an obstacle course of problems. A bit of a quandary has appeared since updating to Windows 10.
